This Return and Refund Policy explains the procedures applicable to cancellations, statutory withdrawals, returns, defective products and refunds for purchases made through bigandtallmart.shop.

14-Day Statutory Right of Withdrawal
Consumers who purchase qualifying products through our online store generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.
The statutory withdrawal period is generally 14 days.
For a contract involving the purchase of goods, the withdrawal period generally begins when the consumer, or a third party designated by the consumer other than the carrier, obtains physical possession of the goods.
Where multiple goods ordered in one order are delivered separately, the relevant statutory rules concerning the beginning of the withdrawal period apply.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the customer must clearly communicate the decision to withdraw before the withdrawal period expires.
No explanation for the withdrawal is required.

Your communication should clearly state that you wish to withdraw from the relevant purchase and should contain sufficient information to identify you and the affected order.
Customers may also use the electronic withdrawal functionality provided through our online store where applicable.
From 19 June 2026, applicable EU and German rules require qualifying online interfaces to provide an easily accessible electronic withdrawal function during the statutory withdrawal period. German §356a BGB requires this function to be prominently accessible and clearly labelled.
Use of an electronic withdrawal function is not intended to prevent a customer from using another legally valid method of communicating a withdrawal.
Return of Goods Following Withdrawal
After notifying us of a withdrawal, the customer must return the affected goods without undue delay and within the statutory return period applicable following the withdrawal declaration.
Unless we have agreed otherwise or applicable law requires us to bear the cost, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning goods in an ordinary change-of-mind statutory withdrawal when the customer has been properly informed of that responsibility. German §357 BGB expressly permits this allocation of direct return costs.

Condition of Returned Products
The statutory right of withdrawal permits consumers to inspect goods in a way reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
Customers should handle products with reasonable care while deciding whether to keep them.
A consumer may be responsible for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods where applicable law permits such deduction.
Merely opening ordinary packaging does not automatically eliminate a statutory withdrawal right.
Refunds Following a Valid Withdrawal
Where a valid statutory withdrawal has been exercised, we will reimburse payments required to be reimbursed under applicable law.
Refunds will be processed without undue delay and no later than the statutory deadline applicable to the withdrawal.
German law generally requires reimbursement within 14 days and permits a merchant selling goods to withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received back or the consumer supplies evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first, unless the merchant has offered to collect the goods.
Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless another method has been expressly agreed and does not result in additional costs to the consumer.
Because standard shipping is free on all bigandtallmart.shop orders, there is normally no standard outbound shipping charge to reimburse.
Alternative Delivery Methods
Where a consumer voluntarily chooses a delivery option that costs more than the least expensive standard delivery offered by the merchant, applicable law does not necessarily require reimbursement of the additional premium delivery cost.
bigandtallmart.shop currently provides free standard shipping as described in our Shipping Policy.
Return Shipping Costs
For an ordinary statutory withdrawal because a customer no longer wants an otherwise conforming product:
The customer bears the direct cost of returning the goods, where legally permitted and properly disclosed.
This rule is different where goods are defective, damaged, incorrect or otherwise non-conforming.
Where the seller is legally responsible for non-conforming goods, consumers will not be required to bear costs that applicable law requires the seller to bear.

Damaged Products
If your order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

We will review the matter and provide appropriate instructions.
Incorrect Products
If you receive an item that is materially different from the product you ordered, contact:
Do not intentionally continue using an incorrect product after discovering the error where doing so could unnecessarily increase the loss.
We will review the order and arrange an appropriate remedy where we are responsible.
Faulty and Non-Conforming Goods
The statutory legal guarantee for faulty or non-conforming goods is separate from the 14-day withdrawal right.
Consumers in the EU have a minimum two-year legal guarantee for consumer goods. If goods are defective or do not conform to the contract, legally available remedies can include repair or replacement and, where statutory conditions are met, price reduction or termination/refund.
Our return rules do not replace or shorten these mandatory rights.
Products Normally Excluded From the Withdrawal Right
Applicable law contains exceptions to the statutory withdrawal right.
Depending on the product and circumstances, exceptions may include:
- Goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised;
- Goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
- Sealed goods that are unsuitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons after the seal has been removed;
- Goods that, after delivery and because of their nature, become inseparably mixed with other goods; and
- Other products or contracts expressly excluded under applicable law.
These exceptions are recognised under §312g BGB.
An exception will only be applied where legally applicable.
Cancellation Before Shipment
Customers may contact us as soon as possible if they wish to cancel an order before shipment:
We will make reasonable efforts to process a cancellation request.
However, rapid order processing may mean that an order has already entered fulfilment before the request is reviewed.
This does not affect a consumer's statutory withdrawal rights where those rights apply.
Refused or Uncollected Deliveries
Simply refusing delivery or failing to collect a parcel does not necessarily constitute a sufficiently clear declaration of statutory withdrawal.
Customers wishing to withdraw should communicate their decision clearly to us.
Additional costs caused by unjustified refusal, incorrect addresses or repeated failed delivery attempts may be considered where permitted by law.
Refund Processing
After we issue a refund, the time required for the amount to appear in your account may depend on your bank, card provider or payment processor.
Once the refund has been submitted to the relevant payment provider, banking processing times are generally outside our direct control.
